Description
Sorbitan sesquioleate is an additive found in food, veterinary products, and household items. Sorbitan esters being nonionic surface agents are used as excipients in veterinary medicinal products. Emollient ester of this compound offers a smooth feel 'coated' after-feel to the skin and is used in cosmetics. It acts as a emulsification and lubricating agent.

AnwendungenSorbitan-Sesquioleat ist ein Zusatzstoff, der in Lebensmitteln, veterinärmedizinischen Produkten und Haushaltsartikeln gefunden wird. Sorbitanester als nichtionische Oberflächenwirkstoffe werden als Hilfsstoffe in Tierarzneimitteln eingesetzt. Der Weichmacher-Ester dieser Verbindung bietet ein glattes, ‘beschichtetes‘ Nachgefühl auf der Haut und wird in der Kosmetik eingesetzt. Es dient als Emulgierungs- und Schmierstoff.
Löslichkeit
Unlöslich in kaltem Wasser, heißem Wasser, löslich in Mineralöl und Ethylacetat.
Hinweise
Behälter dicht verschlossen lassen. Behälter an einem kühlen, gut belüfteten Ort aufbewahren und vor Feuchtigkeit schützen.
