Description
Cultivate and isolate fastidious pathogens and other microorganisms with Thermo Scientific™ Oxoid™ Nutrient Agar (Dehydrated). This non-selective medium contains beef extracts combined with peptone, yeast extracts and sodium chloride to provide the nitrogen compounds, carbon, vitamins and some trace ingredients necessary for the growth of bacteria.
Nährstoff-Agar ist ein Basismedium, das für die Subkultur von Organismen zu Erhaltungszwecken oder zur Überprüfung der Reinheit von Subkulturen auf Isolationsplatten vor biochemischen oder serologischen Tests verwendet wird.
In halbfester Form, als Schrägagar oder Agarhochschichtröhrchen, wird das Medium zur Erhaltung von Kontrollorganismen verwendet1.
Nährstoff-Agar ist für Schulungs- und Vorführungszwecke geeignet. Es enthält eine Konzentration von 1,5 % Agar, sodass bei Bedarf bis zu 10 % Blut oder andere biologische Flüssigkeiten zugesetzt werden können. Das Medium kann ohne Zusatzstoffe für die Kultivierung von Organismen verwendet werden, die in ihrem Nährstoffbedarf nicht anspruchsvoll sind.
