Description
Mouse Olfactomedin-1 quantitates mouse Olfactomedin-1 in serum, plasma, supernatant. The assay will exclusively recognize both natural and recombinant mouse Olfactomedin-1.
Die Familie der Olfaktomedine besteht aus einer vielfältigen Gruppe von sezernierten Glykoproteinen, zu denen OLFM1 (Noelin-1), OLFM2 (Noelin-2), OLFM3 (Noelin-3), OLFM4 (Noelin-4), Tiarin, Pancortin, Gliometin und Mycocilin gehören. Diese Proteine sind an der Entwicklung des Nervensystems beteiligt. Insbesondere wird die Expression von OLFM1 und OLFM2 in der Neuronalplatte und der Neuralleiste sowie in den kranialen Ganglia in der Maus bei E8 bis 10 und später im Hirngewebe sowie in der Zone der Polarisationsaktivität in der Extremität beobachtet. Überexpression von OLFM1 verursacht einen Überschuss an Neuralleisten-Auswanderungen und eine verlängerte Neuralleisten-Produktion. OLFM2 beteiligt sich an der Regulation der Entwicklung des vorderen Nervensystems. Eine Arg144Gln-Mutation in OLFM2 wurde als mögliche Ursache für ein Offenwinkelglaukom (OAG) festgestellt.
