Konjugate sind kovalent mit Fluorophoren markiert (es wurde besonders darauf geachtet, freien Farbstoff nach der Konjugation zu entfernen).

  • Markierung (Ex/Em): Alexa Fluor594 (ca. 590/617 nm)
  • Konjugate werden als lyophilisierte Pulver geliefert
  • Enthält ca. 3 x 108 E. coli- oder S. aureus-Partikel pro mg Feststoff und ca. 2 x 107 Zymosan-Partikel pro mg Feststoff
  • Konjugate können zur Verwendung in Phagozytose-Assays in einem Puffer der Wahl rekonstituiert werden
  • Die Fluoreszenz von Konjugaten, die an die Oberfläche der Zelle gebunden (aber nicht internalisiert) sind, kann durch Ethidiumbromid, Trypanblau oder andere Quencher gelöscht werden
  • Neben zellulären Anwendungen können fluoreszierende Konjugate als Kalibrierreferenzen für die Durchflusszytometrie beim Sortieren von Bakterien und Hefemutanten wirksam sein
  • Kleine Partikel können auch nützliche Referenzen für Studien zur Lichtstreuung sein, da sich ihre Größen und Formen in charakteristischer Weise unterscheiden
