Dichloromethane is employed in pharmaceutical applications. Its utilization is as a solvent in manufacturing of fine chemicals, drugs, drug intermediates and pharmaceuticals, and also in food engineering. It is the solvent of choice for caffeine extraction. It is employed as a solvent and paint remover, and as a blowing agent for polyurethane foams. It is useful for the fraction of flash pyrolysis oil and for the extraction of benzo-15-crown-5.

Anwendungen
Dichlormethan wird in pharmazeutischen Anwendungen eingesetzt. Wird als Lösungsmittel bei der Herstellung von Feinchemikalien, End- und Zwischenprodukte für Arzneimittel und Pharmazeutika sowie in der Lebensmitteltechnik verwendet. Lösungsmittel der Wahl für die Koffeinextraktion. Findet Anwendung als Lösungsmittel- und Farbentferner sowie als Treibmittel für Polyurethanschaum. Nützlich für die Fraktionierung von Öl mittels Flash-Pyrolyse und die Extraktion von Benzo-15-crown-5.

Löslichkeit
Mischbar mit Ethylacetat, Alkohol, Hexan, Methanol, Diethylether, n-Octanol, Aceton Benzol, Kohlenstofftetrachlorid, Diethylether und Chloroform. Nicht mit Wasser mischbar.

Hinweise
Behälter dicht verschlossen in einem kühlen und gut belüfteten Bereich aufbewahren. Nicht kompatibel mit Alkalimetallen, Aluminium, starken Oxidationsmitteln, Basen, Aminen, Magnesium, starken Säuren, starken Basen und Vinylverbindungen.
