- Cacodylsäure-Natriumsalz-Trihydrat wird in der Forschung als Puffer bei der Vorbereitung und Fixierung biologischer Proben für die Übertragung in der Elektronenmikroskopie verwendet.
- Es kommt in Puffern für die Formulierung und Optimierung von Bildschirmen zum Einsatz.
- In chemischen Experimenten dient diese Verbindung zum Einführen von Arsen in Proteine für die anomale Diffraktionsphase mit einer Wellenlänge in Kristallographieverfahren.
