Antimony(III) fluoride is used as a reagent in inorganic and organofluorine chemistry. It acts as a fluorination reagent and electroplating agent. Further, it is used in the preparation of dye, pottery, porcelains, ceramic enamels and glazes. It is utilized in the preparation of freon.

Antimon(III)-fluorid wird als Reagenz in der anorganischen und Organofluorchemie verwendet. Es wirkt als Fluorierungsreagenz und Galvanisierungsmittel. Desweiteren wird es bei der Herstellung von Farbstoffen, Töpferwaren, Porzellanen, Keramik-Emaillen und Glasuren verwendet. Es wird bei der Vorbereitung von Freon verwendet.
Löslichkeit
Löslich in Wasser, Methanol und Aceton. Unlöslich in Ammoniak.
Hinweise
Feuchtigkeitsempfindlich. Es ist nicht kompatibel mit Säuren, Perchlorsäure, Wasser und Oxidationsmitteln.
